In England I worked for a translation services company in 'quality assurance', which meant checking manuals in different languages to make sure they matched up with the English source in terms of format, font, alignment, etc. The English versions were usually translated from Chinese or Japanese and full of errors. Unfortunately it was not my to job to proofread these, and I have a feeling that they didn't hire anyone at all for the task.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
