We have been conditioned to...Such a difficult time. We have been conditioned to feel we must be 'happy' at Christmas. Sadly, it is so often not the case. Especially if we cannot be with blood relatives, who unstand us, and speak our language.<br />Gom and I speak different language now, and some days are like minefields. <br />I am fearful of the coming year, but also have a lot to be thankful for.<br />I am sending good thoughts your way for 2010. I value my family as much as you, but I often feel like my siblings do not, which makes me sad. So you have my sympathy. <br /><br />Two of the girls who were in my class at school now have dementia and need 24-hour care - in their late fifties. What a terrible disease.
